How to Create a Bootable USB Device with Rufus

Rufus is a system utility tool  that helps format and create bootable USB flash drives. This includes memory sticks, USB keys/pen-drives. This guide will assist you on how to create a bootable USB stick on Microsoft Windows using the Rufus tool.

Rufus is useful when;

  • you need to operate on a system that doesn’t have an OS installed
  • you require to flash a BIOS or other firmware from DOS
  • you are required to create USB installation media from bootable ISOs (Windows, Linux, UEFI, etc.)
  • you want to run a low-level utility

Installation Steps to Using Rufus

1.  Download Rufus

2. Get Ready Your USB Drive
